Urinal Press 2
The Follow Up
The press release was finally sent out last night! I am very excited about my upcoming interviews on the Today Show and The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch ;-) (you have to dream big). In other news, we changed the fly decal (again) to make it better for everyone. It is smaller and less obtrusive. More like a small house-fly rather than the scary horse-fly size that we were using. Less is more in this case. I also received some feedback on the urinal etiquette series that is sending me back to the drawing board. The graphics are not intuitive enough and just plain NOT funny. I can’t have that.

More good news: We just sold our 10,000th fly decal! Urinalfly.com: Saving the World one urinal at a time.

Urinal Press
I wanted to put out a quick update on what I am thinking and what we are working on. We have been working on a press release to get the word out better. To prepare for the huge amount ;-) of traffic that this will bring to the site, I have been fixing the little things on the site that have been bothering me for a while. Just little things but they all add up. Look for lots of general use improvements over the next week or so. Next product: Etiquette series flies and clothing line. I can’t wait!

Why the Fly?

Why the Fly?  When I go out I inevitably get asked what I do for a living.  I usually tell them this domain name, wait for the questioning look, wait for the laughter to die down, and then talk about the business.  It is a fun company and I enjoy telling everyone about it. My goal in creating this product is to create something unique and fun that has a real value for people and businesses (I was going to say World Domination starting with the bathroom).  If I can make the world a cleaner, more humorous place and help businesses to use less cleaners then I have accomplished most of my goals.  I won't stop until I see a fly (or target, tree, etc.) decal in every urinal that I come across.

So what is next for the Fly Guy?  Free Flies!  We currently have to charge $1.65 for a combination of credit card processing and shipping charges but I am working on making them entirely free.  Spread the word!  I also have the soon to be famous "Urinal Etiquette" series that should appear in every bar, saloon, and restaurant in this country (as well as on T-shirts).

I appreciate suggestions and new ideas so send them my way.  Does my writing suck?  Should I stick to making stickers and keep my mouth shut?  Let me know.
